Discussion Forum
The Forum will resume on 27 June at 10:30 in the Lounge (please note new time and venue), when Dolores Welty will lead us in additional dsicussion of food and the environment.
On July 18, Dr. Bill Bell will give us an update on eye care and health, and on July 25, Al Tschaeche will tell us about the state of the art in nuclear fission power plants.

10: Pastor Joel Melo of Santo Nino, Mexicali — come hear about the vital work of his community center and SDUMC’s supporting role there
17: Martin Luther King holiday weekend — NO FORUM — This also provides time for Interfaith Shelter volunteers to attend mandatory training that day
24 and 31: Dolores Welty will show videos and lead discussions of poverty-driven political unrest in Honduras and Bolivia.
Our calendar is not yet finalized, so watch this space for future announcements. Will Eldon will lead a Forum on the myriad uses and legal/political issues of hemp, and a guest speaker will tell us about Vaccine Associated Sarcoma in cats (primarily) and dogs (less often).
Contrary to earlier announcements, we will be holding our final Forum of the year the weekend AFTER Thanksgiving, because Steve Hayes has graciously agreed to regale us with a brief history of secular Christmas celebration as we know it in the U.S. The tradition is probably not as old as you would have guessed.
