Who We Are

Our school maintains the highest standards, which are met by the individual members of its staff, who are trained to work with preschool age children. It is to this staff that you turn over your most prized possessions: your children. Each teacher has a genuine love for and interest in working with them at this most formative and impressionable age. They are individuals in whom the parents can entrust their children with complete assurance and peace of mind.

Children will be assigned to age-grouped classes supervised by professionally trained teachers who have planned activities with your child in mind. Our daily programs include music, stories, imaginative play, arts and crafts, science, motor development, and a variety of other fun and educational activities. Throughout the year each class will have the opportunity to enjoy special programs presented at the school. We use Bible verses, stories, monthly chapel, and grace before snack to demonstrate God’s love.

San Dieguito United Methodist Preschool welcomes you. Please feel free to visit, explore, and become familiar with our program. We hope you and your child will enjoy the time you spend with us. We are a Christian school, sponsored by the San Dieguito United Methodist Church as part of its ministry.

Purpose

Our goal is to provide each child:

• a caring, nonpressured Christian environment, which will encourage each child to develop socially, emotionally, physically, cognitively, and spiritually
• opportunities for the development of wholesome, social relationships
  with other young children
• learning experiences that will encourage autonomy and prepare for kindergarten
• qualified teachers who provide activities that increase knowledge, enhance self-esteem, and encourage the growth and development of each child

Our Schedule

8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Early Bird Care (Optional)
9:00 a.m. Preschool a.m. classes begin
12:00 noon Pickup time for morning
Lunchtime (optional)
12:30 p.m. Afternoon classes begin
2:00 p.m. Pickup time for “longer” day classes
3:30 p.m. Pickup time for afternoon classes

*Extended Day Services are offered in the afternoon from 12:00–2:00
p.m. for those morning children who want to stay.
