Share the Table Sunday is a food drive that is held at SDUMC on the first Sunday of each month to support the Community Resource Center (CRC) Food Distribution Center which in turn supports needy families in Encinitas.

 Food: All food is welcome but the list below are items that the CRC have on their “wish list.”

  • Canned Meat/Fish
  • White/Brown Rice (dry)
  • Black Beans
  • Condiments (Salad Dressing, Ketchup, Mayonnaise, Vinegar etc.)
  • Dried Fruits & Nuts
  • Evaporated/Condensed Milk
  • Hearty Canned Soups, Chili and Stews
  • Snacks for School Lunches
  • Oatmeal, cereal
  • Oil (24 oz. or smaller)
  • Ground Regular Coffee
  • Spices (Salt, Pepper Chili Powder etc.)
  • Juice
  • Babyfood
  • Can openers
  • Reusable grocery bags

Personal Care Items for the CRC clients: In addition to food, the CRC is requesting personal care items for their clients.

  • Laundry Soap
  • Dish Soap
  • Shampoo/Conditioner (regular sizes, not travel size)
  • Diapers (size 3+) & Baby Wipes
  • Adult Diapers
  • Feminine Pad/Tampons
  • Toilet Paper/Paper Towels
  • Toothbrush and Toothpaste
  • Body Lotion
  • Body Wash
  • Liquid Hand Soap

More information on distribution of food and personal care items:

Items you donate will be available to individuals and families who shop in the CRC Food Distribution Center, including homeless individuals, families recovering from domestic violence and those trying to get back on their feet. Many who come for these items also receive case management, counseling or other services from CRC to work towards their goals and improve their lives.
