This Sunday, March 8, we will hold our annual Charge Conference at 11:30 AM (approximate time). District Superintendent, Rev. John Farley will be preaching at 10 AM and presiding at the Charge Conference. There will be ONE SERVICE at 10:00 am. (Also, half-hour Communion Services in the Chapel at 8:00 & 9:00 am). There will also be a LUNCH following the 10:00 service (there will be a free-will offering for lunch and childcare will be provided during the Charge Conference time). P.S. A quick word about precautions we are taking regarding current health issues. Sunday morning services are large-group events, with a higher concentration of elderly, children, and other folks who may be at greater risk of illness. We provide hand sanitizer stations at the entrance to the Sanctuary. Our custodial team is also working to sanitize and clean common areas of the campus. Beyond these measures, we encourage everyone to follow the guidelines we have taken from the local school districts:

  • Stay home if you are sick. You can keep up with worship at encinitaschurch.com
  • Avoid touching your face, eyes, and nose.
  • Cleaning frequently touched surfaces.
  • Washing your hands often, for at least 20 seconds with soap and water.
  • If no soap and water is available, use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol content.

We hope to see you at church for worship and other church activities. Please know that we will continue to monitor the suggestions provided to help our congregation remain healthy during this season. Of course, let us hold in prayer those most directly affected by this outbreak and those who seek to comfort and heal. PS Please share information about this Sunday with your SDUMC friends.
