BULLETIN LISTEN NOW WATCH NOW

Dear SDUMC Family,

Once again, we’ll join together for live-stream worship at 9:30 a.m. or you can join us again by watching the video later in the day (also, included are the hymns and Scriptures if you would like to have your Bible to read along ((we use the NRSV version you can find it at Biblegateway.com)). Continue to share a little grace in these early days of on-line worship (we’re striving to make things a bit better each week). Also, as we move through an unprecedented time let us know how we can help each other as a church family (and other groups in our community that are helping others CRC, etc.). We just ask that you have some grace and patience with us as we strategize for the coming days. Here are the scriptures for tomorrow if you want to read along:  First Scripture Psalm 85:8-13, Second Scripture Mark 4:35-40. We will continue our series, The Walk, and share about walking with God through the storms of life.

Grace, Peace, and Prayers (for you and our world),

John

PS Big Thanks to Nancy Meisenhelder and Mary Ann Jones (and friends) for keeping the Inter-Faith Shelter running through Friday. (All of our guests have now been placed in safe lodging).

The Small Group/Adult Education Team will be meeting to offer more options for the coming days. Prayer Time/Vespers: Watch for the Wednesday email on how to dial in for a 15 minute time of prayer on Wednesday evening.

Children and Families (and Children of All Ages): Information on Virtual Sunday School will be coming in the next week as we move to a new curriculum that gives us online access. Also, keep sending us your miles and saving spare change (to help others in the world).

Chalk The Walk: #ShareTheJoySaturdayandSundy Make someone smile this weekend (and we’ll keep this going on Saturdays and Sundays to come). Chalk up your driveway or sidewalk and share joy through the power of sidewalk chalk! Draw colorful pictures, write inspirational messages and have fun while doing it. Take a walk (of course, safe social distancing) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and take a picture of the chalked driveways or let a neighbor know for next week. Can’t leave your apartment or house – create your chalk art indoors? Check out these chalk markers that are great for windows (just a suggested link) https://amzn.to/2U91vze And don’t forget to share your chalk art with us! Post your photos here or tag #SDUMC and you may get featured on our site. Share this event with your friends and family!
