Join us for a great Celebration Saturday and Sunday this weekend!

Dear SDUMC Family,

This weekend, we gather to celebrate another year of ministry at SDUMC as we head into our 52nd year of sharing God’s love on this campus. We’ll Celebrate – the way two churches made a bold yet faith-filled decision in 1968 to share the love of God to Encinitas and the greater North County.

This Sunday – We’ll Celebrate – the way we come together as people at SDUMC (just as the people did fifty-one years ago) who have experienced joys, sorrows, hope, sadness, and emotions all over the human map.

This Sunday – We’ll Celebrate – God’s love and God’s call for our lives, “…Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” (John 13:34)

This Saturday – We’ll Celebrate – ongoing SDUMC visioning with a sneak peek at the new worship experience, The Table, during a special event called, Taste and See – watch for more information in an email tonight and tomorrow (or check out the Facebook information on our Facebook page here’s the link and invite a friend The Table – Taste and See ).

(The launch team will also be providing an exciting Forum at 10:30 AM in Founders’ Hall).

We will also be blessed to have Rev. Charles Hoffman (who will share the Celebration Sunday message) and Jacob McCulloh, an SDUMC Candidate for Ministry, join us in worship!

Again, I hope you make it a priority to praise God in worship as we celebrate God’s many blessings this weekend. Join us for inspiring music (Chancel Choir, Brass Musicians, and the Children’s Choir). Wonderful words of grace from Rev. Hoffman, Scriptures to guide us, prayers full of hope, and a Special Coffee Hour!

Please know, as I type, that you are all loved and that I am grateful to be the pastor of a church that has shared this message of love for over fifty-one years of ministry! I look forward to being with you all on Saturday and Sunday!

Grace and Peace, John
