BULLETIN LISTEN NOW My Post (29)

Dear SDUMC Family,

2019 has been another exciting and Spirit-filled year at SDUMC! Throughout the year we’ve moved from celebrating our 50th Anniversary to visioning ahead (more on this in coming weeks). I continually feel blessed to be a pastor at SDUMC as I hear people in the community share kind words about our faith community: welcoming spirit, Grace-filled theology and worship, local and global outreach, a campus open to numerous support groups, inspiring music, a wonderful preschool, and many other kind words…

This Sunday, we will share in another exciting Sunday as we welcome back a dear friend to me and all of you, Rev. Darin Arntson. I know it will be a wonderful message as she too shared some words about our church family, “Your faithfulness across these years to this church, to God, and to one another through societal change and even global tragedy give me hope– that maybe there is yet a place where people stand together, committed to one another and to a vision of a better way to live. May our worship this Sunday, and our meeting of God through the Word, remind us of and ground us in this gift of connection and ministry as Christ’s body, the Church.”

I look forward to being in worship with Rev. Darin, Rev. Chelsea and all of you this Sunday at 8 AM, 9 AM, and 10:30 AM. We’ll also be welcoming new members this Sunday!

Have a blessed weekend and see you Sunday! Grace and Peace,

John
