Livestream Worship
This Sunday, our youth group will lead us in Pentecost worship! Some call Pentecost the birthday of the church, others challenge this idea and offer up the perspective that maybe Pentecost was the day that the church learned to walk on its own. The story of Pentecost shows us that when empowered by God’s spirit, the people of God spoke on their own, using the words learned from the One who gives our words life. At Pentecost, we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit to raise the church out of hiding and out of despair to proclaim and live the good news of Jesus Christ.
And what better way to celebrate this day than by having our young people lead us in worship? Each and every Sunday, some of our teenagers work hard as a part of our A/V team to make our worship services happen. And our children always join me up front to share their keen observations about life and about God. So, I would say that our young people are already leading us in many ways on Sundays…but this Sunday, you will get to hear from our kids and teenagers through song, visual art, words, and more.
Our youth have worked very hard to craft a beautiful worship service for today, so you all are in for a treat!
We will also have the opportunity to be nourished through at the communion table this Sunday - hope to see you there!
