Faith Flicks Movie Night – The Beautiful Game
Gather to watch and discuss full-length contemporary movies from a faith perspective
Our movie for this month is The Beautiful Game. It’s a fictional story based in a real event: The Homeless World Cup. Teams across the world come to compete. All members of each Team are homeless. The film tells the story of an English team and their coach (played by Bill Nighy).
It’s a statement of hope with lessons about letting go, starting over, and second chances. It’s also a witness to the power of sports as a means of unity.
It’s rated PG-13 and is 2 hrs. in length. The movie is FREE. Refreshments are available for a suggested donation of $3.00 per person.
A discussion will follow led by Rev Faith and Shannon.
